Have a toddler with lots of energy on a rainy day? Need to get out of the house and socialize? Grab your little one and head on over to Temple Beth Abraham’s gym converted into a huge play area (with lots of floor padding). This space is open to the public for a small fee of $8 for one solid hour of play. Class schedules vary, so check out the calendar.
Toddlers have run of the space with a ball pit, slides, rocking horses, toy cars, monkey bars, books, a see saw, and more. There is no shortage of things to do and be distracted by.
“At the center of it all (Kindergym), was the hyperkenetic Dawn Margolin, Kindergym’s guiding light and longtime leader. She knew each child’s name and had hugs for all…She bounces like a bunny, choo-choos like a train, then breaks into an effervescent rendition of “Bye, Bye Bubbles”, while blowing a bubble wand. Commented one mother to another, ‘I don’t know what she eats for breakfast, but I’d like some!'”
