Bites off Broadway kicked off May 10th with the first of many Friday evenings of “mobile food and family fun.” This Loakal sponsored event showcases the best of Oakland’s mobile food (food trucks) and revitalize the Broadway area (just in front of Studio One) of Oakland. There is a level and open grassy area just outside of the arts school with plenty of space to spread out and enjoy your bites, not to mention hula hoops for those who feeling inclined.
Bites off Broadway kicked off the season with delicious eats from the following vendors: Fist of Flour Pizza Company, Doc’s of the Bay, Tina Tamale, Go Streatery, Annakoot and Blue Saigon Truck. We did not see any live music when we went by, but it looks like that is an added bonus to come!
Remember to pack a picnic blanket, some cash for delicious food, your appetite, and some patience. A lot of the popular food trucks have a bit of the wait, but it’s worth it!
