Chuck Stilphen is at it again. The Trappist owner has obtained space in downtown Berkeley and is going to open a barbecue restaurant! Along with Michael O’Brien, the executive chef from Mikkeller, they plan to serve Texas style barbecue. They have already decided to import Texas meat smokers and are most focused on making the food as authentic as possible. And of course, there will be beer. 40 taps worth to be exact, all selected to compliment the flavors in the barbecue. They plan to open in June, and I personally cannot wait!
