Mother’s Day Grub Spots
What: CAÑA cafe will have food, live music, and bottomless mimosas. Restaurant-goer’s have been known to get up out of their seats and get down with the cuban music.

What: Paint Party! Creating a homemade art project for mom is always special, but you might need help creating that masterpiece. Or why not have mom make her own? Bring your mom to get a professional paint lesson by local artist Mel Bratz.

What: Blue Collar Beer Tour – If your mom is one of your best friends, perhaps she enjoys a cold beer just as much as you do. Show her you care about her interests by taking her on a beer tour. Visit breweries in cities neighborhing Oakland (Alameda and San Leandro).

What: Don’t have enough money to buy your mom real gold? Come pan for some at the Oakland Museum of California! You’re allowed to keep what you find. Don’t worry, they’ll teach you how to tell the difference between real gold and “fool’s gold”.
