Geta Sushi is a tiny sushi restaurant just off of Piedmont Avenue that is a great place to get your sushi fix at a reasonable price. There is nothing too over the top exciting about the decor or the actual physical restaurant, but it has a fantastic bustling atmosphere, friendly/efficient wait staff, and their take out service is fantastic. (If you call and order your food will generally be ready in 20 minutes or less, even on their busiest days.) They have an ever rotating menu of specials that change daily depending on what was available that day. The fish is buttery and fresh and melts in your mouth, and the rice compliments the sushi wonderfully. There is a rumor that they serve other kinds of yummy Japanese food other than sushi…but I think it’s a myth. (Although, the seaweed salad is a delightful must have.) If you do decide to dine-in be prepared for a bit of a wait on busy nights, they do not take reservations and due to the size of the restaurant, and the deliciousness of the food, the seats fill up quickly. They are fairly efficient at moving patrons along (without ever making you feel hurried), but sometimes you will wait at least a half hour for a table on the weekends.
