Disco Volante, Italian for flying saucer, is quite the charming spot at the heart of Oakland on 14th Street and Webster. This hip but not too much of a scene bar is cozy but not cramped. The bar is at the corner inside an art deco building worthy to get a good look at during the daytime hours as well.
The bar is well stocked with a great variety of liquors, beers on tap, bottled beer, and a nice wine list. The eats are in short list but tasty, with the Volante burger as their main headliner. The the music is wonderfully diverse with a live performance every night of the week except for Sunday. Not too shabby.
